BEREAVEMENT GRANTS

It is an extremely unfortunate situation when someone you know passes away, and even more so when it is a close family member such as your partner or a dependent child. In some unexpected circumstances TBF can help with a Bereavement Grant.

We may pay a grant of £1,000 to any beneficiary who provides evidence of the death of their partner or dependent child or (in the case of a child who was dependent on a single parent) the death of that parent. This authority applies only where the death may be held to be unexpected and the Trustees recognise the death of those past state pension age is very unlikely to be unexpected. Where the grant is to be made to a child who was dependent on a single parent, it must be issued either in the child’s name or to someone who can produce evidence that they are operating a trust account for the child, in which case the money will be paid to that account.

If you would prefer, we can offer Bereavement Convalescence as opposed to the grant.
